Nominated in Sweden’s Picture of the Year Award 2022 for best domestic news reportage.
On April 21 2024, hundreds of mothers gathered at Sergels Torg in Stockholm bearing red, hand-knitted scarves, representing the 1.5 degree target for global warming. The demonstration took place on Earth Overshoot Day, which is the day Sweden had used up its share of the earth's resources for 2024.

Together, the demonstrators carried scarves amounting to 4300 meters long, representing the 1.5 degree target for global warming.
The demonstration started at Sergels Torg, where the scarves were picked up and carried in two lines through the city and on to Riksplan, outside the Swedish parliament.
The demonstration was organized by the organisation Rebellmammorna, which is part of Extinction Rebellion.
The aim of the demonstration was to draw the attention of the public and politicians to Earth Overshoot Day, which fell on the day of the demonstration.
This was the day when Sweden had used up its share of the earth's resources for 2024.
- We still have hope that politicians will take responsibility and work towards a better climate. We hope that they'll realize that something needs to be done: that they need to listen to science, said one of the demonstrators.
